On Wednesday 13 September, the bi-annual clubs and activities expo- Fair Dinkum - traditionally held on the College Bulpadock was moved from its usual location to the relative comfort of the Gateway building due to Melbourne’s wild and windy weather.
On Wednesday 29 March, 215 North Melbourne Primary School students from years 5 and 6 joined Trinity College’s student-led Global Pathways event on the Bulpadock.
On Monday 22 August classes officially commenced in the new Gateway building. The building is the largest project in the College’s history and a milestone for the growth and development of the College.
Matthew Nicholls, a young jazz musician who took part in this year's Juilliard Jazz Program at Trinity College, was awarded the Bruce McComish Brass Prize.
Last night, Trinity College, the University of Melbourne, was delighted to welcome Professor Larry Gostin, Founding O'Neill Chair in Global Health Law, and Director, WHO Centre on Public Health Law & Human Rights at Georgetown University, and Professor Ian Donaldson (TC 1954), Fellow of King's College, Cambridge, and honorary Professorial Fellow at the University of Melbourne, to launch its new Centre for Advanced Studies (CAS).
Trinity’s strong involvement in the arts and intercollegiate community has been recognised by the Intercollegiate Culture and Arts Council (ICAC), which named Trinity as this year’s Cultural Cup winner, for the second year running.
In August, Professor Frank Brennan SJ AO gave the 43rd Barry Marshall Memorial Lecture at Trinity College, speaking on the theme of The public, the Church and asylum seekers.
